Garlicbread

Garlic Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of Italian or French bread, sliced in half lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, optional

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread.
  4. If desired, sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the bread.
  5. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the butter is melted.
  6. Serve immediately.

Tips:

  • For a more flavorful garlic bread, use roasted garlic instead of minced garlic.
  • You can also add other herbs to the butter mixture, such as oregano, basil, or thyme.
  • If you don't have Parmesan cheese, you can use shredded mozzarella cheese or any other shredded cheese you like.
  • To make garlic bread ahead of time, assemble the bread and butter mixture and then wrap it tightly in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.
  • When you're ready to bake, remove the bread from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before baking.

Enjoy!
